Building and leading high performing teams at CSU

This professional development opportunity is a work-based program focused on participants who have a leadership role in the development of team plans to achieve objectives linked to the CSU Strategy 2013 – 2015 and the Your Voice Survey results.

As a result of completing this unit of professional learning you should be better able to:

  1. Facilitate the development of trust, cohesion and teamwork and a team culture in which members are engaged, collaborative and results-driven;
  2. Lead and manage the development of team goals and plans;
  3. Establish team purpose and processes to achieve identified goals and outcomes
  4. Develop a communication strategy and liaise with your team and key stakeholders.
  5. Monitor team performance and provide timely and appropriate feedback.
  6. Celebrate team achievements

The program is funded by Division of Human Resources and delivered by CSU Training, the University’s Registered Training Organisation. Delivery of the program will include: self-paced learning supported by on-line learning materials utilising the University’s new online learning platform Blackboard; opportunities to network on-line with colleagues undertaking the program; and  structure and support to lead your team through the Your Voice action planning process.

Assessment tasks will be embedded within the Action planning process and the satisfactory completion of the program will result in a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment being awarded for the Unit BSBWOR502A Ensure team effectiveness.
