Bio

Delaine Trofymowych has been a Lecturer at the Australian Graduate School of Policing, Charles Sturt University since 1995. She has been the Course Coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Police Management and has designed, taught, reviewed and coordinated a number of subjects at the School at all levels of study. Delaine has contributed to collaborative research completed at the Graduate School and the Australian Institute of Police Management including an examination of Police Leadership and Management Education and a Review of Police Act (Victoria). She has also undertaken consultancy projects with the Australian Institute of Police Management including Assessment Centres for the Western Australian Police Service and the New South Wales Police Service.

Delaine has worked as an Associate Lecturer at the Professional Development Centre Policing, NSW Police Academy . Prior to this she worked as a research and policy analyst for the Solicitor General Canada where much of her work centred around new police policies being developed in the areas of private policing, centralisation of police services and the changing police environment.

Delaine's formal studies have been completed in the areas of government, public administration, criminology and criminal justice administration and planning. Her academic qualifications include an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario , and a Master of Criminal Justice Administration from Northeastern University in Boston . Delaine has completed her Graduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning from CSU. Currently Delaine is completing her PhD in the area of police education.
