Bio

Prior to commencing employment with CSU in 1999, Peter Roberts had been in the Australian Public Service for over thirty years, including twelve years at Senior Executive level with the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department and the National Crime Authority. He has had extensive policy experience in fraud control, corruption prevention, risk management, identity fraud and public sector ethics. He works part-time and is based at the St Marks campus in Canberra.

Research

Peter Roberts was a Chief Investigator in an ARC linkage project Whistling while they work: Internal witness management between 2005 and 2008. The project studied the legislation, institutions and procedures relating to the management of whistleblowers in the public sector. Peter contributed a chapter to the first report on the analysis of whistle blowing procedures and is currently drafting the final report.

He worked as a research fellow on the Commonwealth component of the National Integrity Systems Assessment (NISA) linkage project jointly funded by Transparency International and the Australian Research Council to assess integrity systems in government. He contributed a chapter on Commonwealth integrity systems to the edited book which reported on the findings.
