Achievements
- The School of Communication and Creative Industries has a long record of strong links with the communications sector and a record of high achievements.
- Journalism students undertake internships across the whole range of media - national and regional newspapers and television news, radio stations in metro and regional areas and online media. There is constant contact with leading journalist, producers and news directors.
- Broadcast Journalism students work alongside professional journalists to produce the National Radio News service that is distributed by ComRadSat every day to more than 80 radio stations nation wide.
- They also help produce local news and current affairs services for 2MCE, which is CSU and Bathurst's own community radio station.
- The Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations) is accredited by the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
- The Bachelor of Communication (Advertising) is accredited by the International Advertising Association and endorsed by the Media Federation of Australia. Third year students work on real projects for Sydney and Bathurst-based clients in a fully-equipped on-campus agency
- The Bachelor of Communication (Commercial Radio) is supported by Commercial Radio Australia.
- Major radio networks provide internships, industry software and guest speakers.
- In 2006, more than 30 School of Communication and Creative Industries students gained scholarships from industry and CSU Foundation sponsors
- Bachelor of Communication (Theatre/Media) graduates work successfully in all facets of the arts and entertainment industry writing, directing, producing, managing and performing.
