Profile

After working in the Creative Industries in New Zealand & England in the nineties and early noughties in the roles of Director, Producer and Development Manager for numerous companies David joined highly awarded British advertising agency DiFFERENT in 2006 . Then as a Senior Lecturer he taught Advertising, Digital Media and Mass Communication at Northumbria University in England and at Curtin University in Malaysia.

Research

I am currently working in two areas of academic research:

1) Advertising and the perception of value.

CSU Faculty Research Grant secured with Dr Edward Spence for Research in 2012-13.

2) The impact of digital on OOH advertising communication.

I am hoping one of these projects will lead me towards the commencement of a Research Doctorate or PhD in Communication. To this end I am currently pursuing a MA (Hons) research higher degree in Advertising.
