Matthew Olsen began his career in local television with PRIME as an editor and copywriter, before going on to work in post production in Sydney. In 2003, he moved to the UK where he worked with several London based film and television companies, including Liberty Livewire, Soho Images and One Post as an editor, telecine operator and VT supervisor.

Matthew has a Bachelor of Arts (Television Production) degree from Charles Sturt University.

Research

Matthew’s current research interests include exploring classic aesthetics in the 21st Century, the actor/director relationship in television and the development of web-based serial programming in regional Australia.
