Profile
Dr Jill Fenton Taylor teaches strategic communication in the post graduate program. Her interests lie in organizational storytelling and narrative research. Current work employs an interpretive approach to understanding global organization as a multi-voiced textuality of entangled storytelling practices and expert discourses. These projects also explore ways in which alternative social science writing formats can assist researchers to present data as shared lived experience.
Jill's PhD thesis examines ways in which a global organization sustains its identity and organizational structure through cultural narratives. This work provides a narrative analysis of symbols, myths and rituals that one such corporation uses to imagine its corporate identity. The work uses up-to-date, sophisticated narrative and reflexive research methodology to understand how organizational communication and enterprise risk management are handled in such a way to maintain an organization's identity in an ever more interconnected world.
Jill is currently consulting to global companies on enterprise risk management communications.
