Booranga Writers and Open Mic

Booranga Writers Centre invites you to readings of their work by Tara June Winch and John Muk Muk Burke on Wednesday 16 May, 6pm at the Wagga City Library. Tara is currently writer-in-residence at Booranga while John returned to Wiradjuri country this year as a Learning Skills Advisor at CSU.
Both writers are holders of David Unaipon Awards for their novels 'Tara for Swallow the Air (2004); John for Bridge of Triangles (1993). More recently John's collection of poetry, Night Song and Other Poems won the national Kate Challis RAKA Award for 2000 while Tara was awarded the Victorian Premier's Literary Award for Indigenous Writing (2006) and the 2007 Nita Kibble Dobbie Award for women's writing.
Join us at WWC Library for poetry, prose, wine and an open mic for local writers who want to test new work.
