Alistair Lemmon
Bio
Alistair has worked for many years as a practitioner and manager in the Welfare and Community sector and has had significant experience in the youth sector including homelessness, residential care, juvenile justice and counselling. Alistair's career reflects the range of opportunities that can arise in the social work and welfare field - he has worked in three different countries (the UK , USA and Australia ) and four Australian states. As a result of his travels, he has been able to practice in large cities, regional centres and rural communities, and work with people with disabilities and their families, in foster care, probation and parole and in employment and rehabilitation services. His current research interest is in the impact of adult mentoring on changing "at-risk" behaviour in young people.
