Entry to a Career in Policing

For people seeking to enter the NSW Police Force Service

Please note that the intake numbers into the Associate Degree in Policing Practice are determined by NSW Police Force and reflect the needs and priorities of the Police at any given time. Places in the course are highly competitive and determined in the merits of each application.

Students in the course must meet NSW Police Force Professional Suitability requirements and apply for employment during their studies. As such, applicants must read the material included in the Associate Degree in Policing Practice application pack before lodging an application. For people seeking to enter any other Police Service

Bachelor of Social Science (Criminal Justice)

Applications for full-time on campus study in the Bachelor of Justice Studies (Policing) and the Bachelor of Social Science Criminal Justice) should be made through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).

The Bachelor of Justice Studies (Policing) can be studied full time or part-time on campus, whilst the Bachelor of Social Science (Criminal Justice) can be studied full time or part-time on campus; or via distance education.Download the application form.

The University assumes that all students will be able to access an internet connected computer capable of communicating with CSU online systems for at least one hour per week. A course or a subject within a course may require a higher level of access.

Applications for the Associate Degree in Policing Practice should be mailed directly to the University.

Charles Sturt University frequently recognises prior learning including study at other institutions in many of its degrees. Each request for credit is individually assessed at the time of application.
