Paul Blewitt completed thirty years service in UK policing working in Merseyside (Liverpool), Greater Manchester and West Midlands (Birmingham). He was primarily involved in operational policing, communications and professional standards.
At a national level he was a member of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and was appointed to the Committees for Firearms, Public Order, Emergency Procedures and Professional Standards. He was also part of a cadre of Gold Commanders regarding major events, emergencies and terrorist acts concerning chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear attack. (CBRN).
On leaving UK policing he worked as a consultant for the Abu Dhabi Police.
