Research

The Faculty of Arts is one of four faculties of the University. It has an enrolment of more than 7000 students and more than 300 academic and general staff. The largest fields in the faculty in terms of student enrolments are policing, psychology, the human services and the media professions. The faculty is geographically dispersed and covers a range of disciplines and professional fields. Staff members of the faculty are located in Albury, Wagga Wagga, Bathurst , Goulburn, Manly, Canberra and Morpeth.

The Faculty supports the ARC Commonwealth Special Research Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics (CAPPE) which was established in 2000 and is funded under the Australian Research Council's Special Research Centre scheme. It also supports the Public and Contextual Theology Strategic Research Centre; and the Institute for Land, Water and Society (incorporating the Rural Social Research program).
