About The School

The School of Theology of Charles Sturt University has established a reputation for high quality education and research. Some 600 students are enrolled at University Certificate, Bachelor, Honours, Graduate Diploma, coursework Master and Research Higher Degree levels.

Since entering into a partnership with St Mark's National Theological Centre in Canberra in 1995 the School of Theology has continued to grow. In 1999 the United Theological College (UTC) joined the School, providing a Sydney base for teaching and supervision of research. St Mark's and UTC are partners in the School of Theology and are committed to working together to develop and deliver the most comprehensive, vibrant and rigorous theological education on offer in Australia.

Opportunities for study through the CSU School of Theology have been expanded with the affiliation of St Francis' Theological College Brisbane (2010) and St Barnabas' Theological College Adelaide (2011) with St Mark's National Theological Centre.

The School's ethos is ecumenical, with faculty and staff being drawn from a variety of Christian traditions.

The School has developed a rigorous research focus in association with the Public and Contextual Theology Strategic Research Centre and is committed to fostering a scholarly theological community that engages with contemporary society.
