Student Association
The Students Association was formed to serve students studying for the Bachelor of Theology, other theology and related courses, and postgraduate studies – whether studying at St Mark’s National Theological Centre, St John’s Morpeth Campus, United Theological College, or by distance education.
Our Aims
- To provide improved campus amenities and social activities for students.
- To provide support for students of the School of Theology.
Membership
As a member of the School of Theology Student Association you can have a say in the services
and facilities provided by the Association. You are also entitled to
vote for the Executive Committee at the AGM held in October.
Privacy Statement
Students Association may collect information from you for the “mail” list to ensure you receive the newsletter. We do not disclose, sell, trade or rent this information. It is kept secure by the Association and can only be accessed by our committee. You may view or ask us to remove your personal information.
Projects for Students
The Association has undertaken a number of projects over the last few years:
- Installed a new Kitchen and equipment in the Campus Common Room.
- Coordinates provision of a Snack Machine, light meals and drinks in the Kitchen.
- Supported the purchase of new Hymn Books for the Chapel and assisted towards the renovations.
- Installed a Pay Telephone in the Common Room.
- Installed new shade sails in the Common Room courtyard. Installed a bicycle rack.
- Provided lockers for all students in the common room.
- Supported and held social events.
- Catered lunches during the Residential weeks.
- Provided a Student newsletter. Did you get your copy?
- Made available loans for students needing urgent financial assistance.
