Fine Arts
The Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) program at CSU includes an articulation arrangement with the Riverina Institute of TAFE, Wagga Wagga. Students wishing to undertake a BA (Fine Art) may complete either a Certificate IV in Visual Arts at TAFE before entering the second year of the BA (Fine Art) program or they may choose to complete either the Diploma of Fine Art or Advanced Diploma before continuing onto the Fine Art program with CSU.
Whichever pathway you choose, Fine Art is about making artworks to communicate ideas, thoughts or feelings. Artists' works may be realistic, stylized, or abstract and may depict objects, people, the natural world or events. Students study Drawing, Painting,Printmaking, Illustration, Multimedia, Photography, Graphic Design, Jewellery or Set and Costume Design subjects for Theatre and TV as well as Art History and visual culture subjects to relate their studio work to the wider world of visual arts practice.
Across the 3 years of the program you will work with diverse materials and approaches to experience a broad program of studies that will offer you numerous pathways toward rewarding careers including studio and exhibition practice, Art Gallery and Museum management or curation, teaching, conservation and community art.
