About the course
The Jewellery degree course at CSU is the only tertiary program endorsed by the Australian Jewellery Association. The program is an alternative training and educational model to the apprenticeship system and, unlike Jewellery courses at other Australian Universities, CSU Jewellery students learn design and manufacturing skills to be efficient and employable in industry or the studio, after graduation. Our program has the added advantage of intensive design and computer modelling instruction and the opportunity to undertake business minors.
Students have independent work spaces, exceptional equipment, generous access hours seven days a week and passionate, supportive staff to ensure every opportunity for success.
The jewellery industry is a dynamic and diverse field that provides unique and exciting career opportunities in Australia and overseas. Graduates are industry ready and are typically employed in jewellery design, manufacture and repairs for boutique, retail outlets or in independent studio practice as jewellery designers. Post-graduate study pathways are optional in business and marketing or design to PhD level.
