Joungmee Do - Artist Statement
Korean Artist and craftsperson Joungmee Do is highly respected internationally for her jewellery and silversmithing practice.
She has resided in Australia since completing her masters’ degree at RMIT in 1999. Her work sets her amongst the peak of creative practitioners in the nation.
Joungmee’s visit coincided with the competition and touring exhibition CONTEMPORARY WEARABLES 05’ from Toowoomba regional gallery and was shown at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery . She is a past award recipient from this biennale event and provided insight into a successful creative practice.
