Melbourne Design week

For the past three years CSU BA Jewellery has showcased students work at Melbourne Design Week Ready Made Market in Federation Square. This event takes place on a yearly basis and students are able to sell their work and develop a network of contacts with galleries and shops interested in representing them. Our professionalism in designing, manufacturing and displaying the work has proven to be a great success.

Continuum Exhibition

Continuum is an exhibition showcasing the work of students currently enrolled in the BA Jewellery at the School of Visual and Performing Arts, Charles Sturt University .

Visiting High Schools welcome!

High schools are welcome to organise an excursion to the Jewellery department of the School of Visual and Performing Arts. Our staff are always happy to show students around and explain what designing and making jewellery consist of. Demonstrations include, for example, how to melt metal to make an ingot, how to prepare material, how to make a ring and the basic process of casting. The duration of a visit is around an hour but may vary depending on the High School’s schedule.

Visits during University teaching sessions are recommended; this is an opportunity for High School students to interact with University students, discover what is involved in studying jewellery and ask questions.
For more information, please contact Course Coordinator Sabine Pagan spagan@csu.edu.au or ph:02 6933 2076.

We look forward to meeting with you.
