- VPA Collaboration: Leicohtica film clip featured on RAGE
The debut film clip from Australian Metal band Leicohtica's first album 'The Balance of Fire' entitled 'A Prototype Soul' had its debut airing on ABC One's late night music clip show Rage on Friday the 23rd of May. The clip was shot at the Junee Roundhouse museum late in 2007. The clip itself was a collaborative effort between third year Multimedia students Matt Regan, David Orman and Jonathan Taranto, museum staff, and CSU staff members Damian Candusso, Andrew Hagan and Christopher Orchard.
The film clip was shot in the oil pits below the roundhouse where for years train engines have been restored and replaced. It was not the first time they have had musical performers involved with the museum, but it was the first time in the operation of the Junee roundhouse museum that a female has stepped foot inside the work area. To celebrate the occasion the junee rail historical society had the walls inside the caverns signed and dated by documenting photographer Shona Pratt and band member Jennifer Mcaffrie as a historical reference to the exact date that the first female set foot inside the space.
