Bio
Emily Snadden holds a BFA (Honours – Photography, University of Tasmania), as well as being a graduate of the BA (Jewellery) -2006, Charles Sturt University. She has over 7 years experience in the Jewellery retail industry working for 100 Collins Jewellers in Hobart, fulfilling various roles including assistant manager and jewellery designer whilst completing her training as a Jeweller.
Emily is currently employed as technical officer and casual lecturer for the BA (Jewellery) in the School of Visual and Performing Arts. She continues her professional practice as a Jeweller with the ongoing development of works for exhibit, commission and a limited production range for retail through selected outlets.
Recently she has exhibited Jewellery works in 'Come Hither – Interpretations of the Boudoir 2007', 'Wagga Wagga NSW, Buda – Contemporary Silver and Metalwork 2007 Castlemaine NSW', 'Contemporary Wearables 2007 Toowoomba QLD' and 'Graduate Metal X1 – JMGA Conference 2008, Adelaide SA'
Emily’s training as a photographer has enabled her to produce images for various publications as well as documenting the majority of works accomplished by students within the BA (Jewellery) over the last three years, from invitations to graduation and exhibition catalogues. Her published photographic works include:
