Outside Broadcast Truck
CSU are the only Australian education provider to own a fully equipped outside broadcast truck. The truck provides a mobile control room which, when combined with portable camera facilities, can be used to cover a wide range of live events including sports, concerts, corporate functions and even location drama. The truck receives regular industry hires both for use in on-air broadcast and provision of “Big Screen” coverage at events, and students are given the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals on these occasions.
The truck houses a range of broadcast equipment including:
Ross Video RVS16 vision switcher- Inscriber CG digital character generator (as required)
- Soundcraft Ghost 24 x 8 audio production console
- 4 x Sony DXC series Camera Control Units (CCU)
- 1 x Sony DXC637, 3 x Sony DXC537, 1 x Sony DXC3000 professional field cameras with studio build-up kits
Provision for a further two gen-locked cameras- 3 x Vinten Osprey portable studio pedestals
- 2 x FORA TBC for non-synchronous source timing
- Video, audio and technical monitoring
- Provision for 4 x Studio VTR’s – loaded as required
- Clearcom dual channel party-line intercom system
- Cabling and grips as required
