News - CSU TV Moves Into HD Production
The Bachelor of Arts, Television Production Degree at Charles Sturt University has recently made the leap to High Definition television production with the purchase of two JVC GY-HD251E Professional HDV Camcorders.
The recently released cameras have proven a hit with the television industry by providing a truly professional format camera at a breakthrough price for High Definition production. Charles Sturt University BA TV students have already been busy putting the new cameras through their paces with a number of major productions just completed. Students have found the cameras to provide all the professional functionality they have come to expect from broadcast quality cameras with the added benefit of the higher resolution HDV format taking their productions to the next level of quality.
Course Coordinator, Patrick Sproule says “The cameras have been extremely popular, being constantly out on location for most of the past four months. Plans are now underway to purchase a more of the cameras and consideration is being given to utilizing the optional build up kits as a high definition upgrade to our outside broadcast facility.”
