Kay Plummer joined the University in 1997 as a Lecturer in Accounting. Before joining CSU, Kay lectured in financial accounting and auditing for six years at the University of Technology Sydney. She has held senior positions in TAFE NSW, worked for the then Corporate Affairs Commission (now ASIC) and worked in auditing for a Big 4 Chartered Accounting firm. Her research interests are in external reporting, ethics and accounting education, particularly the ways in which students learn and the impact of these on web based learning and education.
In 2004 Kay was awarded the Commerce Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence and in 2007 she led the team that won the Faculty of Business Teaching Excellence Award. Kay is the current Faculty Sub Dean Learning and Teaching.
Kay is Honorary Treasurer Australian Association for Professional and Applied Ethics and has worked in the past in an honorary capacity for a number of charitable organisations including 7 years as a Director and Honorary Treasurer of the Arthritis Foundation of New South Wales and 2 postings for the Australian Executive Service Overseas Program.
