What is the AGMC?
The Australian Graduate Management Consortium is a joint initiative of Charles Sturt University (CSU) and TAFE NSW and was set up to design and operate a completely new kind of Graduate Certificate in Management.
We're a large organisation and a small one! AGMC was established as a separate client focused organisation able to provide personal service and a level of flexibility that larger institutions find hard to match. At the same time we are able to draw on the strengths of CSU and TAFE partner institutions.
AGMC's mission is to establish and deliver practical courses designed to meet the needs of busy managers, using the latest learning techniques and relevant up-to-to-minute content. While the Consortium partners jointly own and develop the course materials, the Graduate Certificate in Management and the Graduate Diploma of Management are awarded by the Charles Sturt University , and delivered through a network of accredited delivery sites across Australia . AGMC is operated by a Consortium Management Committee with members from the partner institutions, through the AGMC National Office at CSU.
Established in 1994 with one delivery site in Sydney and another in Canberra , AGMC currently has a growing network of delivery sites and over 100 course participants enrol each year. Currently the course is delivered through sites in Sydney ( Blacktown , Kogarah, Ultimo, and St. Leonards), Kingscliff, Wollongong, Griffith, in Melbourne (Docklands) and in regional Victoria (Bendigo). Each accredited delivery site is managed by a local Site Co-ordinator, who ensures that the management education provided to local students is tailored to their specific work and other requirements.
