Fees and payment details

Course fees

AGMC course fees can either be paid in full or on a per subject basis. If paying the total course cost, fees must be paid in full two weeks prior to commencement of the course. If electing to pay on a per subject basis, fees must be paid two weeks prior to commencement of each session of enrolment.

The cost per subject (2012) for the Graduate Certificate in Management (Professional Practice) and the Graduate Diploma of Management (Professional Practice) is $1,776**.

The (2012) course fee for each of the Graduate Certificate in Management (Professional Practice) and the Graduate Diploma of Management (Professional Practice) components of the course is therefore $7,104 (giving an overall total of $14,208).

How to pay your fees

Payment may be made by cheque or by Bankcard, Visa or MasterCard. (The FEE-HELP Scheme may also be useful for payment of course fees.)

  • You will receive advice about payment options when you receive a letter of offer into the course. Once you receive advice about payment options, payment in full (either for the total course fee or the per subject fee) must occur two weeks prior to commencement of the course. (See course fees above)
  • Students who fail and have to repeat a subject must pay for the subject again in full when re-enrolling.
  • Students may be eligible to claim a tax deduction for part of their subject fees. Educational expenses of more than $250 are also tax deductible in most cases. Receipts for fees are issued as a basis for your claim (Refer to the Australian Taxation Office for further information). Fees should NOT be submitted with your Application for Admission form.

Information on FEE-HELP

In 2005, FEE-HELP replaced PELS (Postgraduate Education Loans Scheme) as the Government funded interest-free loans facility for fee paying postgraduate students undertaking non-research courses. It is similar to the deferred payment arrangements available for undergraduate courses under HECS. You will be eligible for a FEE-HELP loan if you are:

  • Enrolled in a fee paying postgraduate non-research course in an eligible higher education institution
  • An Australian citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent visa (who meets eligibility requirements)
  • information is available by visiting the full-fees and fee-help website or calling the enquiry line on 1800 020 108 or www.goingtouni.gov.au

AGMC’s Refund Policy

Refunds will only be considered where a written request for Approved Withdrawal is received on or before the end of the second teaching week of session. Students should note that the granting of an Approved Withdrawal (AW) grade or withdrawal prior to the University's HECS census date does not automatically entitle them to a refund.
