Brief Professional Biography
Professor John Hicks is an economist who has held a number of university positions in Australia and New Zealand and who has worked as a senior economist in the private sector. His expertise encompasses labour economics and macroeconomics and his current research interests include the application of macroeconomic policy at regional and national levels, the economics of education, the application of economics to business strategy and the economics of terrorism. He has held a number of competitive research grants, published in peer reviewed journals and has taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels in the university sector.
