Professor Brian D’Netto PhD HR Mgmt (State University of New York at Buffalo), MBA (Arkansas), MS HR Mgmt (Xavier Labour Relations Institute), BLaw (India), BCom (India). Professor Brian D’Netto is a skilled human resource manager, teacher and consultant whose career includes a unique combination of industry and academic experience. Brian spent seven years working in human resources roles in India and Australia before turning his attention to academia. His roles in large companies within the manufacturing and corporate sectors in India included Personnel Officer at Tube Investment of India Ltd and Senior Personnel Officer at Kothari Industrial Corporation Ltd. In these positions he was responsible for recruitment, training, HR planning, compensation and benefits administration, HR policy formulation and industrial relations. In Australia Brian has managed the HR function for the Confederation of Australian Industry. Working as a consultant, Brian’s clients include Mobil Oil Australia, where worked on a project to improve diversity management practices, Towers Perrin (USA) and the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs. Brian has taught at the Australian Catholic University, University of South Australia, Mt Eliza Business School, Monash University, State University of New York at Buffalo (USA) and the Loyola Institute of Business Administration (India). He has experience delivering a wide range of subjects including strategic human resource management, international human resource management, organisational behaviour, employee relations, performance management, organisational change, ethical leadership and research methods. Brian's articles have been published in refereed journals, and he has presented his research at international conferences in the USA, UK, Canada, France, Portugal and Greece. Brian has been the recipient of several academic awards for his research, and he was included in the 1997 edition of the Marquis ‘Who’s Who in the World’ (Marquis Foundation, USA). Brian is a member of Academy of Management (USA) and a Fellow of the Australian Human Resource Institute. |
