ENACTUS Australia projects for CSU students – expression of interest

ENACTUS (Entrepreneurial action group), formerly known as SIFE, is an international movement to bring together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. It is a non-profit organisation that works with business and higher education students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders. (For more details on ENACTUS, visit http://enactus.org/)

More than 25 universities in Australia are presently involved in ENACTUS projects related to community activities – have their own ENACTUS teams/programs under ENACTUS Australia. Under the overall guidance of the Faculty Advisor, undergraduate students (both on-campus and DE) form groups to undertake diversified types of community projects, and also obtain funding from business and the university (sponsors/partners) to support project activities.

ENACTUS Australia organises annual championships to identify the best Australian university in terms of project performances and achievements during the year. The national champion university gets a chance to take part in the international championship – the World Cup - being held in Washington DC this year.

CSU has now formed an ENACTUS Team. We are still looking for students who are interested in taking active roles in community projects. There is no upper limit on students getting involved in projects, or on the number of projects.  Find us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/enactuscharlessturtuniversity

Participation in ENACTUS projects will benefit students in several ways, including:

  • Widen the perspectives of the local communities where we live – make you a better community member;
  • Being part of an international student movement – taking part in annual ENACTUS competitions – widening networks;
  • Add significant value to CVs;
  • Work with industry partners – may create job or similar opportunities

We are seeking your help in spreading the news among CSU students, to help identify those who are interested. Please note that it is open to all CSU students, not just those in the Faculty of Business.
