Grant is an Associate Professor in Management and Head of the School of Marketing and Management. He teaches Strategic Management and Business Strategy within a number of the Faculty's Masters programs. Prior to joining the School of Marketing and Management, Grant lectured at the Australian Graduate School of Police Management and at the University of New South Wales.
Grant's PhD research focused on change management in the NSW public sector under the Premierships of Nick Greiner, and his current research interests centre around culture and management. He is particularly interested in strategy formulation, organisational culture and values based management. Recent research projects have explored links between emotional intelligence and work performance at the ANZ Bank, emotional intelligence and work performance across national cultures, and links between emotional intelligence and leadership. Grant is currently one of three Chief Investigators on a three year ARC Linkage Project with Main Roads Western Australia exploring corporate values and workplace behaviour.
