Jasmine was a visiting academic from the UK (2005/2006). Her teaching began at what is now Curtin University in Western Australia. Thereafter she was an international marketing research professional for a number of years before moving back into academic life.

During her business career, Jasmine worked as a market research executive, manager and then director, on the client as well as the supply side of the industry. Her employers ranged from small and medium-sized agencies to large multi-national companies. During this time she was responsible for market research projects conducted in Europe, the USA, South America and the Caribbean, as well as the Middle East and Asia.

At Plymouth and CSU she has taught a variety of marketing and research methods subjects to undergraduates and postgraduates; as well as supervising masters and Ph.D. students.

She is a member of the Academy of Marketing and Market Research Society (MRS) in the UK, as well as the European Society of Opinion and Market Research (ESOMAR).
