Overview of the Not for Profit Program

This program was developed specifically for the not-for-profit sector by Charles Sturt University.

The program's activities and case studies are drawn from in-the-field experience to ensure relevance to managers employed in the not-for-profit sector.

The program consists of a Graduate Certificate in Commerce which articulates into the Graduate Diploma of Management and Master of Management.

Subjects in the Graduate Certificate in Commerce are:

To be eligible for the Graduate Certificate in Commerce, applicants must provide evidence satisfactory to the Faculty that you have appropriate work-related knowledge and relevant academic capabilities. This will be:

A degree from a CSU-recognised tertiary institution plus at least 2 years work experience, OR

A Certificate IV or Diploma from a TAFE or similar body, with at least 5 years work experience including supervisory/managerial experience, and good writing skills, OR

At least 5 years experience in a senior management position with significant responsibilities, and good writing skills.

Some subjects and qualifications previously completed may contribute towards subject credit in this Graduate Certificate.

Employees of Not for Profit organisations who are interested in this program should approach the Human Resources Department of their organisation in the first instance.
