Patrick Bradbery, Manager

Pat Bradbury

Patrick has extensive teaching and training experience in many areas of business, in university, TAFE and in-house courses. He has spent many years in business and management education, including fifteen years as a Lecturer in Management at Charles Sturt University. He has initiated many ground-breaking changes including the establishment and launch of the Graduate Certificate in Manufacturing Management/MBA (Operations Management), the first competency-based post graduate course in Australia.

During 1999 he was the start-up Research Leader for the Western Research Institute, an economic research company focused on the Western part of NSW. In addition, he has provided management consulting services to a variety of large and small business and not for profit organisations in New South Wales in team building, strategic planning, quality management, organisational and community development and IT systems development and installation. In recent years, he has been particularly concerned with organisational and community development and its relationship with leadership development and the learning organisation.

He is currently the Manager of the Professional Development Unit of the Faculty of Business. The mission of the Professional Development Unit is to establish, develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with partner organisations on behalf of the Faculty of Business and Charles Sturt University, in order to:

Jan Knox, Operations Manager

Jan Knox

Jan has been employed at Charles Sturt University for over 15 years during which time she has been actively involved in development and management of business related courses for both the private, public sector and non-government sectors.  The Professional Development Unit currently provides study pathways to these organisations in providing specialised business education opportunities. Charles Sturt University is recognised as a leader in the delivery of Distance Education Materials and offers study to over 40,000 students.

Lyn D’Arcy Evans, Administration Officer

Lyn D'Arcy Evans

D’Arcy Evans joined Charles Sturt University in April, 2005. Since that time, Lyn has been working in an administrative role for the Professional Development Unit (PDU) within the Faculty of Business. In her position Lyn provides administrative support for moderation of affiliate programs such as the Australian Graduate Management Consortium (AGMC) and Mission Australia Business School. Her responsibilities include maintaining and updating databases that track the progress of all student matters under the PDU program.  Lyn also acts as Secretary for the Management Committee of the AGMC and to other committees for the AGMC and PDU.

Lyn’s previous work experiences were as a Registered Nurse and Midwife, both in Australia and overseas. After a year-long trek with pack animals, Lyn changed careers and ventured into tourism, obtaining a degree in Tourism Management through CSU.

 

Jennie Marmion

Jennie Marmion

Jennie Marmion has recently joined the PDU as an Office Assistant.

Jennie has worked in a number of areas of the University over many years.

Jennie will be maintaining the PDU financial procedures and assisting the PDU Director and Operations Manager.

Allen Gavin

Allen Gavin

Allen has recently joined the PDU as the Manager of Corporate Programs. Allen has extensive experience in the education sector and has been directly involved in the development of educational based partnerships with both private and public sector organisations on a state, national and international basis. As part of his work Allen has coordinated the research required for the implementation of business plans designed to develop and drive strategies, systems and practices that promote a collaborative approach to managing client relationships and improving service delivery.

Allen has been responsible for supporting educational institutions in planning, initiating and maintaining regular contact with existing and potential commercial customers. He has also been responsible for facilitating the identification and analysis of organisational needs for the development of new commercial products, or the provision of specific programs, to meet those needs.
