Single subject study / Associate Student Program
The Associate Student Program gives people the flexibility to enrol and complete subjects without having to commit to a full degree. You can use Single Subject Study and open entry to study on campus or via distance education in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
You can commence study while waiting for acceptance into a degree course from CSU or another University
Students who begin studying in July can finish one subject before the official UAC first preferences are sent out. For example, if you applied to do a Marketing degree through UAC, but you had studied a subject as an associate student before you received an official acceptance from CSU, you will have this subject credited towards your CSU degree.

Find out what degree is the best for you. With over five dozen individual specialisations available, finding a focal degree can be difficult and sometimes daunting. Single Subject Study gives you the option to try a Commerce or Business subject before commitment to a degree.
You can study single subjects to further your career
Studying single subjects can help you gain more industry knowledge. One or two subjects learnt in one semester through Charles Sturt University could mean you are eligible for promotion within your organisation, or better career options becoming available to you.
