The School of Education is located on the Albury-Wodonga, Wagga Wagga and Port Macquarie campuses of Charles Sturt University and has an innovative approach to education. The School has a reputation within its communities as a school with new ideas in online, flexible and distance education, along with its long history in providing high quality on-campus and blended teacher education curriculum.
The School enjoys an international reputation with a strong research profile, with leaders in diverse fields such as Maths Education; Action Research; Early Childhood Education; Transitions and Pedagogy; and Technology and Teaching Practice, and several staff are members of the Research Institute for Professional Practice, Learning and Education (RIPPLE) .
Studying opportunities include undergraduate teacher education programs in Early Childhood and Primary, Kindergarten to Year 12 and Adult and Vocational Education, as well as postgraduate degrees in Primary and Secondary teaching and Adult and Vocational Education. We also offer exciting opportunities for people wishing to pursue specialist higher degrees by research.
The location of the two campuses in the Murray and Riverina regions means that students and staff can enjoy a rural lifestyle in towns with substantial population and facilities. The School buildings are situated in healthy, environmentally-sustained surroundings, and the Albury-Wodonga buildings have won several architectural awards.
The School welcomes visitors, and those interested in knowing more about studying with us can take advantage of CSU's Open Day, Every Day policy.
