Bio

My academic background is in the area of economic history (BA Hons). I have a postgraduate Diploma in Language and Literacy ( CSU ) and a Masters Degree in Education ( CSU ).

My areas of special interest are in VET pedagogy and practice, traineeships, and online teaching and learning. I have had an extensive education career spanning teaching engagements from kindergarten through to tertiary level.

I have received and Order of Australia For service to children and school education, particularly through the Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations of NSW (http:www.itsanhonour.gov.au) and won a Carrick Award for pioneering work at the national and institutional level in the embedding of a VET sector qualfication into university awards, supported by robust credit transfer pathways.

I am committed to the support of all students particularly those who return to formal study after many years in the workforce and to the need to provide the best quality teachers and trainers for sectors of education in Australia.
