The School of Education at Charles Sturt University delivers TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment to present, past and future students through a partnership arrangement with CSU Training. Details of the delivery arrangements are outlined as follows:
TAA40104 Upgrade Program
A flexible program to upgrade from BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training to TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. This course is offered by distance education with online support. The cost of the program is $1496 (2008) which can be paid via four separate instalments. The program is available to:
Group 1 - Graduates of School of Education VET Programs who:
- Have attained BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training
- Wish to upgrade to TAA40104 Certificate in Training & Assessment
- Possess current experience working in the VET Sector
Group 2 - Prospective students of CSU Vocational Education & Training courses who:
- Have attained BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training
- Possess current experience working in the VET Sector
Recognition granted for the BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training towards the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment will be for the following units of competency:

TAA40104 Embedded in VET subjects (within the Associate Degree in VET, Bachelor of VET & Graduate Diploma of VET)
CSU students enrolled in a VET program undertake three specific subjects which embed units of competency from the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. Students who wish to apply for this award must enrol with CSU Training at the commencment of their studies. Correspondence will be forwarded to all new students enrolled in TAA embedded subjects inviting them to register with CSU Training. Please refer to the 2008 Information Booklet (pp.13/14) which outlines the rationale for the embedding of the TAA40104 and the identification of applicable University subjects.
