Overview

No matter what your sport, to gain that competitive edge you need to be in top physical and mental condition, with strength and conditioning a key component as athletes strive to achieve peak sporting performance. Many athletes have benefited from introducing structured strength and conditioning programs to their training, therefore it is important to develop a professional approach in your training, giving your athletes every chance to succeed.

The Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA), in conjunction with Charles Sturt University, have combined to offer the Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coaching Course. The Level 1 ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coaching Course is accredited through the Australian Sports Commission and is designed to educate coaches and athletes on important aspects of strength and conditioning for competition. You will learn fundamental principles behind sports specific training. Topics covered in a practical setting include:

- Speed, Strength and Endurance Development
- Planning Training and Periodisation Methods
- Nutrition Supplementation and Ergogenic Aids
- Athlete Assessment and Recovery Methods.
