The School of Human Movement Studies, Charles Sturt University will host The Future of Fatigue in Exercise: An International Symposium on the Limits to Exercise Performance at the Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa, Katoomba, NSW, Australia.

Registrations are now closed.

Due to overwhelming demand we are unable to accept any further registrations. Next year’s symposium promises to be just as popular, so be sure to register early to secure your seat and avoid disappointment.

For everyone who didn’t make it this time around, we will be posting details of the event to this site soon after the symposium’s conclusion. A book of the presentations will be published and made available via this site too. So be sure to check back later.

Presenters

The Symposium will feature prominent international and national researchers including:

Professor Timothy Noakes (University of Cape Town, South Africa)
Head of the Exercise Science and Sports Medicine Unit at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, Professor Noakes is one of the world’s leading exercise scientists and the author of “Lore of Running”.

Professor Stephen Cheung (Brock University, Canada)
Professor Cheung is a Canadian Research Chair in Environmental Ergonomics. His work focuses on human performance in extreme environments and the effects of elevated body temperatures in both recreational and occupational settings.

Professor Mark Hargreaves (University of Melbourne, Australia)
Professor Hargreaves has published widely on the regulation of muscle expression during exercise and glycogenassociated proteins in human skeletal muscle.

Professor Robert Robergs (University of Western Sydney, Australia)
Professor Robergs is widely known for his research into central cardiovascular responses to incremental exercise and the reassessment of the VO2 plateau at VO2max. He is also the co-founder of the American Society of Exercise Physiologists.
