Orientation: Tuesday, September 6th, 6-9 pm (all BECS students)

Orientation for all BECS students will be held on Tuesday, Sept 6, 6-9 p.m. During the Orientation session, student laptops will be configured to the wireless system at CSU - be sure to bring your laptops for that purpose.  Returning students should bring their laptops as well, in case there are ‘on campus’ changes (such as student printers) that need to be reconfigured at this time.

Parking

Evening classes
Please park in the spots marked with CSU in front of the CSU entrance on Tuesday, September 6th . We will issue parking passes to you that evening. There may be other classes operating that evening, but parking should not be a problem for evening classes.

Afternoon classes
On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, you will likely have to park in the CSU designated area at the ABB parking lot.  During your supper break (2-5 pm) you can move your cars over to the parking spaces in front of the CSU entrance so that you don’t have to walk back to the ABB parking lot in the dark.  We will provide directions and maps at the Orientation session.

Storage

There are lockers available on a first come first serve basis, although they will likely be taken up by Bachelor of Primary Education (JK-6) students who start their program the weeks of August 22-September 2. Since we will be relatively self-contained in the Murrumbidgee and Thurgoona rooms, we will have enough space to store coats, backpacks, laptops, etc. in these two areas.

Lunch/Supper arrangements

There is no cafeteria on campus, so we suggest that those attending afternoon and evening classes bring supper with them. There are refrigerators, microwaves, and kettles available for your use in the student kitchen. There are also vending machines on campus and a number of places nearby to pick up a bite to eat (Goodness Me, Organic Flours, Tim Horton’s, Wendy’s, Subway).

We look forward to welcoming all of you on Tuesday, September 6th, 6-9 pm.
