PracticumPracticum Information

The program offers 44 days of orientation, observation and teaching through 2 days a week in–school experience associated with every teaching week, in addition to 9 weeks of block practicum. This practicum experience is divided across the two divisions of primary and junior.

This structure not only adds to the depth and authenticity of the professional experience, it also provides the candidates with the opportunity to develop a strong rapport with a cohort of children over an extended period of time and become an integral part of the school's learning community.

 

This program is offered under the written consent of the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities for the period from 24 th December 2004 to 24 th December 2009 . Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs (e.g., acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies or other educational institutions).
