Applicants for the Bachelor of Primary Education Studies must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Selection is based on the following:
60% weighting – academic achievement
40% weighting – experiential learning
On the above basis, the top-scoring applicants will be selected to be interviewed by a team consisting of CSU faculty and local administrators and educators to determine the final group of applicants to be offered a place in the program.
The interview is a compulsory component of the application process.
Fees for the 2009/10 year will be $16,500 CAD (Canadian dollars) paid in two instalments. The first in June when you accept your offer of admission to the program, and the second in December, prior to the beginning of second term.
If you completed your studies outside of Canada you will need to provide evidence of your English Language Proficiency.
The Bachelor of Primary Education Studies program is offered under the written consent of the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities for the period from 24th December 2004 to 24th December 2009. The Minister has extended this consent until such time as the University’s application for renewal of consent is determined. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the programs and the degrees will be appropriate to their needs (e.g. acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies or other educational institutions).
