Bachelor of Primary Education Studies

English Language Proficiency

All applicants must demonstrate an acceptable level of English language proficiency to gain admission to Charles Sturt University. Applicants will be considered to have met CSU’s English language requirement if they

a)

Australia, Canada*, Fiji, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, American Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, United Kingdom, USA, Zambia

with English as the language of instruction and assessment;

or

b) have successfully completed the equivalent of one year full-time post-secondary study at an affiliate institution of the University, with English as the language of instruction and assessment.

*French-speaking Canadians who have completed their senior secondary school study where the language of instruction was English, or have completed the equivalent of at least one year full-time University study where the language of instruction and assessment was English, will be deemed to have sufficient English language proficiency.

If you do NOT satisfy the above requirements you must demonstrate your level of English proficiency by providing English language test results taken in the last two (2) years. Test results must be originals, and should be submitted with your application, if possible. Test results MUST be received by the application closing date.

The Bachelor of Primary Education Studies is offered under the written consent of the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities for the period from June 17, 2010 to June17, 2015. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs (e.g. acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies or other educational institutions).
