Charles Sturt University (CSU) celebrated thirty years of teaching in
the field of librarianship in 2005 and the festschrift has been produced
to mark this achievement in a formal way. The publication brings together a range
of contributions, covering activities at CSU and in the wider
world of education for librarianship. Essay topics cover the history
of library education - both in Australia and overseas - and issues relevant
to contemporary educators in the field.
The contributors come from a broad range of backgrounds and specialisations, including both educators and practitioners.
All essays, with the exception of those authored by Edward Reid-Smith and Suzanne Lewis, have been double-blind refereed.
