ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association)
ALIA is the professional organisation for the Australian library and information services sector. It seeks to empower the profession in the development, promotion and delivery of quality library and information services to the nation, through leadership, advocacy and mutual support. ALIA and CSU work together to assure the quality of CSU's educational programs.
ASLA (Australian School Libraries Association)
The Australian School Library Association Inc. (ASLA) is a national authority, a peak forum in the field of teacher librarianship and school library resource services.
CIS (Centre for Information Studies)
The Centre for Information Studies is a University enterprise which aims to support and commission research, publication and continuing professional development in library and information science. Several of its textbooks are used in our courses in Information Studies and Teacher Librarianship.
Curriculum Corporation
Curriculum Corporation is a partnership of all Australian Education Ministers. It undertakes activities that are in the national interest and that support and augment the work of the States and Territories in providing educational experiences for all students. CSU is working with the Corporation to investigate strategies to improve resource organisation in school libraries.
HKU SPACE
A division of Hong Kong University, is the partner institution which works with CSU to deliver Information Studies courses into Hong Kong.
Institute of Information Management
Institute of Information Management not only provides personal networking opportunities via regular events organised within the State branches, but it also forges strong relationships with Tertirary Institutions offering under-graduate and post-graduate degrees in, or including, information management. Charles Sturt University is an institutional member of IIM and IIM provides student prizes.
ITNR (Information Technology Needs Research)
ITNR is a research and consultancy unit, of which the School of Information Studies is a partner, that explores and analyses how people use information, telecommunications and new media.
University Of Mauritius
In 1999, CSU’s first Joint Award with an offshore University was launched at the University of Mauritius. This is a program of study which allows holders ot the University of Mauritius Diploma in Information and Library Studies to upgrade to joint award of the Charles Sturt Univeristy/University of Mauritius Bachelor of Arts (Information Studies).
