Bio
After completing an Applied Science degree in 1983, I was employed as scientific officer at The Institute of Clinical Pathology and Medical Research in Sydney for 13 years. After moving to the Bathurst area I realised a latent passion for teaching and retrained through CSU as a secondary Science and Mathematics teacher. I taught in high schools within the Bathurst district for a number of years and secured an appointment as a Head Teacher (Welfare) at Portland Central School where I stayed for eight years. In 2006 an opportunity presented itself to work as a teacher educator at CSU and I secured a permanent position here in 2008. I remain passionate about the teaching of Science and Mathematics in primary and secondary , teacher professional development and have a growing interest in equity issues particularly in the area of school welfare structures
