Bio

Ms Wendy Hastings is Senior Lecturer in Professional Experience and Practice in the Faculty of Education at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst. Her research and teaching interests are in professional practice, emotions and teacher subjectivities, mathematics curriculum and pedagogies.

Ms Hastings brings to this research team a long history in rural schools and teacher education. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program at Charles Sturt University, in which she is studying the emotional effect on their school-based supervisors of failing student teachers on professional experience.

Ms Hastings, who is directly involved in the organisation and delivery of pre-service teacher education in rural areas, currently takes responsibility for all professional experience at CSU.
