Bio

Dr Christopher Klopper has extensive experience in pedagogy theory and practice through teaching at both state and private schools in South Africa and Botswana, at all levels from pre-primary right through to University level and at co-ed and single-sexed schools as well as curriculum development, design and delivery for the Education Department in the field of NATED 550, OBE: Curriculum 2005 and The Revised National Curriculum Statements and training of teachers in praxis.

Arts Education and more practically an ethnomusicological stance dominate Dr Klopper's field of research and equips him for cultural studies, world musics and community music making programmes. Dr Klopper has extensive experienced in the theory, practice and teaching of the piano, organ, classroom instruments, marimba/xylophone, steel drums, African drumming and dance, theatre and visual art.
