Donna Mathewson-Mitchell

Bio
Donna Mathewson Mitchell is an Adjunct lecturer in the Faculty of Education, at CSU in Bathurst. Donna began her career as a Visual arts teacher and has taught in both Tasmania and NSW. Her in-school teaching experience has encompassed the K-12 continuum, but has been particularly focused on secondary visual arts education. This experience informs her teaching in the secondary courses.
Donna has been involved in educational research since 1996, and in 2007 graduated from UNSW with a PhD in Art Education. Her research has focused on relationships between schools and museums, and most particularly between, art education and art museums, as alternative sites for learning.
