Bio
Prior to joining the School of Teacher Education I was a classroom teacher in primary schools for many years where I fostered programs in environmental education and the creative arts both with the school and across the Bathurst district. I then spent three years as the HSIE K-6 Consultant for schools in the Bathurst and Orange Districts promoting the teaching of HSIE.
I started at CSU in 2002 teaching HSIE and professional experience subjects to pre-service teachers and in 2002 was awarded The NSW Minister for Education and Training & The Australian College of Educators NSW Chapter Quality Teaching Award for my work in schools, consultancy and early tertiary teaching.
In addition to my teaching I am currently Director of Professional Experience, Early Childhood & Primary.

My teaching areas of interest are K – 6 HSIE, Environmental Education, Rural Education and professional experience which I currently teach through the subjects:
Professional Engagement
- Education for Sustainability Conference: connecting classrooms & communities.
- The inaugural conference was held in 2008 with the next conference scheduled for October 2009.
- Chifley Home Education Program – currently developing the education programs for the Chifley Home in Bathurst and previously involved in developing programs for Miss Traill’s House and the Bathurst Goldfields.
- Bathurst War Memorial Carillon Working Party & 75th Anniversary Celebration Committee
