 CCD Student Scholarship Awards

The Cereal Chemistry Division (CCD) of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute conducts a student scholarship award program aimed at encouraging post graduate students to attend and participate in annual Cereal Chemistry Conferences.

Conference Student Award

Value and obligation of the scholarship holders

The Conference Student Award provides the difference in cost between a Full registration and the cost of a Student registration. This will enable the awardee to attend all technical sessions, trade displays and social functions, and receive a copy of the Conference proceedings and membership of the Division for one year.

To be eligible for receipt of a Conference Student Award, the student nominated must be the lead author of an oral or poster paper proposed for presentation at the Australian Cereal Chemistry Conference.

The awardee will receive a certificate at the Conference as acknowledgement of their receipt of the Award.

Eligibility

Applications are open to postgraduate students with an interest in Cereal Chemistry.

Application guidelines

Applications, which should not exceed 2 pages in length, should give a brief outline of the applicant’s academic background, career goals and current research program. The application is to be endorsed by the student supervisor. A draft abstract of the paper to be presented at the Conference is to be included.

Responsibility for administration of Award

The responsibility for the administration of the scholarship shall be vested in the Divisional Committee of the Cereal Chemistry Division who shall appoint a Selection Committee. The number of Awards in any year shall be determined by the Divisional Committee.

Conference Travel Award

The Travel Award is separate from the Conference Award, with the possibility of some students receiving both awards.

Value and obligation of the scholarship holders

The Travel Award currently provides funds to assist the student in attendance at the annual Conference. The number and value of the Awards will be determined by the Divisional Committee.

To be eligible for receipt of a Conference Travel Award, the student nominated must be presenting a paper (oral or poster) at the annual Conference.

The awardee will receive a certificate at the Conference as acknowledgement of their receipt of the Award.
